A fully adoptable protocol

The Carbono Biodiverso protocol is fully scalable and was created to be adopted and replicated by other NGOs in their territories. Carbono Biodiversity Workshops offer NGOs full support in its deployment.

Guaranteed fair payments to landowners

The protocol mandates that at least 80% of carbon compensation revenues go directly to local landowners, ensuring that management fees remain minimal. This stands in contrast to traditional voluntary carbon markets, where a significant portion of funds is absorbed by administrative costs, often leaving landowners without the fair and consistent payments promised.

Accessible to more landowners

Global carbon markets often exclude small and medium-sized landowners, so limiting their access to carbon finance. Carbono Biodiverso eliminates this barrier, enabling landowners of all sizes to participate. This inclusive approach not only broadens the impact of carbon sequestration projects but also ensures fair and equitable access to financial benefits.

Agile short-term contracts

Annually renewed contracts offer landowners financial security while safeguarding them and future generations from long-term obligations. These one-year agreements also ensure that carbon inventories are regularly assessed, with any reversals addressed through a 10% buffer fund, maintaining the integrity of the carbon compensation process.
